This past Monday, I received my Bachelors of Business Administration from Emory University. As I think back on my journey to Emory, and into online entrepreneurship in general I’ve been trying to figure out where it all began. My mind keeps ending up back in 7th grade when I was browsing the Namepros’ beginners section in the middle school library after Googling “how to make money online”.
I believe my life would be very different if I had not discovered this small, changing, and supportive industry.
It’s been a long time since I wrote my first blog post on TeenDomainer at the age of 16, but without this industry, I’m not sure I would be where I am today.
This industry provided me an outlet to share my development experience, provided me with business experience and income at an early age, helped me earn a college scholarship (thanks GoDaddy) and internships at industry companies like Domain Holdings. It also helped me co-found my own startup and find a career I’m interested in pursuing post-graduation.
I would like to thank everyone who has read, listened, emailed, or shared anything with me over the past 6 years. There are way too many people to mention, but I hope that in the next six years I can share something of value that helps each of you reach your own goals.
Now that I’ve graduated, I would like to begin contributing regularly again to the community in whatever way I find most appropriate. I’ve moved away from domain sales, and could see myself writing about my income producing properties and noteworthy developments in the world of search engine optimization and digital marketing that affect the domain industry.
This summer I’ll be returning to Atlanta to work at Relevance Advisors, a boutique digital marketing firm specializing in SEO, SEM and analytics. If anyone is around Atlanta I’m always available to discuss domains, development etc.
I could not be more excited about the future and am ready to begin this next stage of my life. Thanks again!
